Intense, cheerful, colourful, inspiring, exciting, and relaxed at the same time – Unite's We Week is the internal highlight in our calendar every year. In 2025, anticipation was equally high as colleagues from all over the world arrived at the Leipzig headquarters at the end of June for a week of networking, exchange, fun and a sense of togetherness. There’s no better way to bring the Unite motto ‘Connect and Collaborate’ to life.
Experience more together
More than 700 people from 44 nations work at Unite, and during We Week, they filled the office building to the very last corner. Personal encounters replaced video calls, and the focus was on togetherness. Whether it was sipping coffee in the kitchen, or sharing a team space, everywhere people were open to conversations and new connections formed almost effortlessly.

Say cheese!
Once everyone was on site, team photos are a must. Parts of the headquarters quickly transformed into a photo studio. We’ll soon see the latest portraits and group pictures on profile pages and in presentations.

Networking Fair and creative challenges
The colourful We Week programme kicked off with the Networking Fair on Tuesday. More than 30 teams showcased themselves with puzzles, quizzes and creative ideas in the Marketplace, the ground floor of the headquarters. This allowed colleagues to get to know each other and their roles in an unconventional and engaging way. The prize for the best stand was won by the Transaction Services team with video animation, quizzes and a popular ball game which offered a playful way to explore process optimisation.

Summer, sun and team spirit
Outdoor activities and team building were a bit hit. The HR team hiked eleven kilometres along the Saale, six football teams battled it out for the Unite Network Cup, and the Global Marketing Team paddled across the Karl Heine Canal in a dragon boat (learning: If you stay in sync, you’ll reach your destination faster!). At the Leipzig Company Run, 79 international Unitees in bright jerseys set a new record for finishers.

Workshops and knowledge transfer
Being on site together brings energy, and this was channelled into workshops. At the Leadership Connect, executives discussed performance and heard an inspiring keynote from Julia Nagel (Orchestra Manager of Sinfonia Leipzig) on what organisations can learn from orchestras.
In the Demand Generation Workshop, marketing and sales teams shared insights, while the Lowcoding Lab demonstrated how simple Python scripts can be used to automate tasks and simplify everyday work – even without deep programming knowledge.

Colorful, Unite DEI Day
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are highly valued at Unite. At the DEI Day on Wednesday, Unitees showcased their cultures to promote mutual understanding and open-mindedness. Traditional costumes from their home countries added bright highlights to the event. Executive Board Member, Peter Ledermann, emphasised the importance of being open to colleagues and in a question-and-answer session, he highlighted a reason to be especially proud: the number of female leaders at Unite has increased significantly – from 34 in 2022 to 53 today, corresponding to 56%.

The crowning finale: We Party
The grand finale of We Week took place on Thursday at DaCapo, and for many, the highlight of the entire week. Celebrations included a proud look back at 25 years of Unite and heartfelt tributes to the four founding members – Sebastian Wieser, Peter Ledermann, Thomas Zoller and Lars Schade – who have shaped the company since its inception. Video greetings from teams around the world added an emotional and motivational touch.
By then, the party atmosphere was in full swing, reflecting the unique team spirit that defines Unite not just during We Week but all year round.

We Week started right after my second onboarding day at Unite — perfect timing! As a newcomer, it helped me quickly connect with many colleagues across teams and countries. I was impressed by the emotional depth of the week: it wasn’t just about performance, but also mood, attitude, and genuine moments of joy and reflection.
Maximiliano Lombardi, Director of Public Sector Product Strategy and Customer Solutions
We Week is more than just an event. For both newcomers and long-time Unitees, it’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the company culture, make lasting connections, and grow together. Anticipation for the next We Week is already building.
We are Unite … and unique!
