Purpose and legal basis
Unite processes your personal data to organise, conduct and evaluate its webinars. This is based on our legitimate interest as the webinar provider as well as your legitimate interest as a webinar participant (Article 6(1) (f) GDPR).
Scope of data
To organise and conduct webinars, we regularly collect your registration data (e.g. name, email address), technical communication data (e.g. IP address) and usage data (e.g. chat history, reactions, first-join and last-leave times).
Recipients
At Unite, only authorised employees may access and use the data for the purposes stated above. We use Microsoft 365 Teams (Microsoft Operations Ltd., Ireland) to conduct our webinars. Microsoft processes and stores personal data within the EU/EEA on our behalf. In exceptional cases, Microsoft (Teams) may process technical usage data outside the EU/EEA. In these cases, EU Standard Contractual Clauses agreed between Unite and Microsoft ensure an adequate level of data protection for your data.
Retention period
We delete or anonymise your personal data once the purposes (as stated above) have been fulfilled, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
