We're on the lookout for a curious, upbeat and dedicated software engineer to join! Our team has the mission to understand and enhance content. We process article information to classify and normalise content in order to prepare offers before they are visible in the search index.
You'll work alongside some passionate tech professionals in a collaborative environment on business-critical software components. If you are keen on getting your hands dirty with different Backend, Cloud and DevOps technologies, then we would like to talk to you!

Your role

Drive technical excellence: As a key member of a highly autonomous agile team, you’ll take ownership of complex technical challenges and play a central role in decision-making.
Collaborative engineering: You'll actively participate in pair programming and mentor other engineers, sharing your expertise to raise the technical bar.
Add value: You’ll design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable solutions that optimise our processes and cross-team integrations.
Shape our engineering culture: You'll contribute to cross-team initiatives to define architectural guidelines, evaluate new technologies, and establish best practices.
Cross-functional collaboration: You'll analyse complex business requirements and work in close cooperation with the product team to translate them into production-ready code.

Your qualifications

Your background: You have strong experience in developing and maintaining web applications in Java with Spring Boot.
Infrastructure proficiency: You have experience running services on AWS, Kubernetes and are used to event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka).
Technical expertise: You have a deep understanding of software engineering and best practices for building scalable, maintainable systems.
Agile mindset: You demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, particularly in Agile software development and a remote distributed team environment.
Be on the pulse: You're committed to continuous learning and knowledge sharing; you keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies.
