Unite with Ukraine

We stand together and take action

We continue to organise relief efforts for the people of Ukraine. Let’s make a bigger impact together. Stand united with Unite for Ukraine.

On 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Thousands lost their lives and were left wounded, bringing immense suffering and destruction. Let’s not abandon Ukraine in their time of need.

Let’s join forces and help

As soon as the war began, we founded Unite for Ukraine with the help of like-minded donors and in-house initiatives that helped bring aid to the region. Our colleagues have established connections with aid organisations, and our entities in Ukraine’s neighbouring countries assist in ensuring that donations reach those in need. We contacted suppliers like RS, Würth, ACP Tekaef, Medizintechnik Weinert, Meddax24 and Praximed, who supported our relief efforts by providing medical equipment.

Our supporting partners

Together, we’ve coordinated and funded aid deliveries of medical equipment and other necessities through our network of suppliers and partners, where it is urgently needed.

None of our relief efforts would be possible without the suppliers, aid organisations and supporters who provide us with the products for the aid deliveries. Medizintechnik Weinert is one of them and has supported us since the first delivery.

As a company and family, it is our heart’s desire to help people in need. We hold the belief that all individuals deserve equal consideration and compassion. With that in mind, we’re dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to those impacted by conflicts. We recognise that there are conflicts and struggles happening around the world, and we do not take for granted the peace and stability we enjoy in our own country.

We express our gratitude

We thank our suppliers and partners for actively supporting our aid deliveries. You can also contribute to our relief efforts as a supplier or partner.

"We start where others stop"

Watch excerpts of the interview with Georg Jachan from Association for Worldwide Emergency Aid.

Even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact. Georg Jachan, the co-founder of Association for Worldwide Emercency Aid is passionate about helping others and rose to the challenge when we approached him in March 2022 to aid those affected by the war in eastern Ukraine.

Despite the risks, he joined forces with like-minded individuals and logistic companies to deliver medical supplies, headlamps, powerbanks and other essential items provided by Unite. As we continue our association with the organisation to deliver supplies, Georg’s reliable network ensures aid does not fall into the wrong hands.

Georg is courting danger with every trip he makes to Ukraine. “But at least I can leave. People there live in fear every day,” he says. The greatest reward in life is not in the things we acquire but in the difference we make in the lives of others. Georg’s story is a testament to the power of the human spirit.

Georg Jachan is still looking after 15 villages in Donetsk just a few kilometres from the front line. We met him for the second time for an interview.

September 2023

Thanks to another donation from our suppliers, we delivered an additional aid shipment to the Association for Worldwide Emergency Aid in September. Association chairman Georg Jachan and his team transported the goods to Ukraine and distributed them to the residents. This marked the fifth aid delivery facilitated by the Austrian organisation on our behalf.

May 2023:

The people in Ukraine are delighted with our aid delivery. Thanks to our suppliers, we were able to support them with urgently needed materials such as clothing, headlamps, power banks, and batteries.

April 2023:

Thanks to the generous support of our Austrian suppliers Würth, RS and ACP TEKAEF, we were able to organise an important aid delivery to Ukraine. They provided us with goods at a special price or contributed additional items.

We met Georg Jachan, co-founder of Association for Worldwide Emercency Aid, for a video interview. In it, he describes what he experienced, what the people on the ground really need and what drives him.

In keeping with our commitment to make a difference in Ukraine, we donated to Unicef to support their efforts in helping Ukrainian children.
In Ukraine, Unicef is working tirelessly to provide essential services such as clean water, food and medical care to children most in need.
Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and we are honoured to contribute to this cause.

October 2022

In partnership with the Association for Worldwide Emergency Aid, our colleagues in Austria organised another aid delivery to the Donetsk region. Its co-founder, Georg Jachan, personally delivered essential items such as durable work clothes, gloves, sturdy footwear, power banks, torches, water filters and tools for purifying drinking water to the affected population.

September 2022

We received an official request from the Ukrainian Civil Protection for tourniquets to equip their rescue teams. Tourniquets are vital for constricting or completely cutting off blood flow in veins and arteries. Our supplier partner Medipart offered us 1,000 pieces at a discounted price, which we were grateful for. Our Polish colleagues then delivered the tourniquets to a fire station on the Polish border, from where they were subsequently transported to Ukraine for distribution.

May 2022

Our team in Austria collaborated with the Association for Worldwide Emergency Aid to provide aid to Ukraine. Medical supplies, headlamps, power banks and other essential items were shipped directly from Vienna to Odesa in April. We are grateful for the great cooperation and support from the organisation.

April 2022

We are humbled by the dedication and commitment of our Unite employees in supporting the people of Ukraine. Unitees organised fundraising initiatives, provided housing for refugees, and generously contributed to aid organisations. Together, we can make a greater impact and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

March 2022

Our German colleagues went to Krakow and delivered four busloads of hygiene products, medical supplies and baby food to Fundacja Widowisk Masowych. This organisation, in collaboration with the Ukrainian charity - Make a Dream Come True - promptly distributed the aid to Lviv, where it was most needed. On the return journey to Germany, our colleagues offered transport Ukrainian families, primarily mothers with young children, to Dresden, Leipzig and Vienna. This trip left a lasting impression on the team.

March 2022

With the support of the Foundation Hof Schlüter, we’re able to bring aid to those in need in Ukraine. Our combined efforts, including those of our employees, volunteers, suppliers and partners, made these relief efforts a success.

March 2022

The Ukrainian people’s plight touched our hearts, and we felt compelled to act. In partnership with our supplier, M. Weinert Medizintechnik, we put together a crucial first-aid package filled with medical supplies. Our Köthen office served as the hub for all items ordered from the ‘Unite with Ukraine’ catalogue, where our diligent employees spent long days organising and preparing the aid for its journey. Each item was meticulously sorted, repacked, and assigned a name and number before being loaded and sent to Ukraine where it could make a tangible difference.

Unite with Ukraine – helping together

If you want to support our relief efforts, please get in touch with us at ukraine@unite.eu. We’re organising the transport of relief aid on an ongoing basis.

We don’t make any profit from supplying aid to Ukraine. Our employees and suppliers have been volunteering during work hours to organise the purchasing, processing and logistics of supplies.

Thank you to the many volunteers, colleagues, suppliers and partners who’ve made these relief efforts possible.
