As Chief of Staff at Unite, you act as a trusted strategic and operational partner to the Executive Board Member responsible for Marketing, Sales & Customer Success. You ensure that priorities are driven forward, decisions are well-prepared and outcomes are consistently delivered. You operate at the intersection of strategy, communication and execution — across a fast-moving commercial organization that is actively shaping how B2B and B2G procurement works in Europe.
You don't just execute — you think along, challenge where needed and help shape the direction.
Want to shape the future of procurement? At Unite, we’ve been working for over 25 years to make purchasing in the private and public sectors efficient, sustainable and compliant. We offer organisations a trusted alternative to non-European procurement platforms – strengthening local value creation and keeping data where it belongs. More than 700 employees around the world contribute to Unite’s development, bringing diverse perspectives and a strong sense of responsibility. Does this sound like you? Join us as we take procurement to the next level.
Your role
- Executive Support: You provide close, hands-on support to the Executive Board Member in day-to-day operations — participating in key internal and external meetings and ensuring a smooth, professional flow of information at all times.
- Meeting and Decision Preparation: You prepare briefings, decision papers and discussion materials, structure complex topics clearly and ensure that the objectives and desired outcomes of every meeting are defined and communicated in advance.
- Action Tracking: You document decisions, responsibilities and deadlines, follow up consistently on open tasks, escalate conflicts proactively and ensure that agreed measures are actually implemented — not just recorded.
- Stakeholder Coordination: You coordinate cross-functionally with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and beyond, manage complex topics end-to-end and serve as a reliable and discreet bridge between the Executive Board Member and the broader organization.
- Strategy and Execution: You connect strategic decisions to operational reality — monitoring the progress of key initiatives, identifying risks early and taking the necessary steps to keep things on track without waiting to be asked.
- Sparring Partner: You support the Executive Board Member as a trusted thought partner in steering key growth and transformation projects — bringing your own perspective, asking the right questions and actively contributing to solutions rather than just facilitating the conversation.
Your qualifications
- Experience:Several years of professional experience in a strategic, project-based or operational steering role — for example in an executive office, strategy consulting, business transformation or PMO environment. Experience in a commercial or go-to-market context is a plus.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong prioritization skills, high reliability and a rigorous execution mindset. You follow through on what you commit to, keep a clear overview across multiple workstreams and don't let things fall through the cracks.
- Analytical Strength: You can quickly grasp, structure and communicate complex topics in a way that is tailored to the audience — from a concise one-page decision paper to a well-structured executive briefing.
- AI-Enabled Ways of Working: You actively use AI and AI-based tools to support transparent communication, efficient workflows and clarity across teams — and you help embed these practices in the way the organization works, not just in your own day-to-day.
- Confidence & Discretion: You bring a confident demeanor, strong situational judgment and a high level of discretion. You are comfortable operating in senior executive environments without losing your independent perspective — and you know when to speak up and when to listen.
- Drive & Mindset: You don't wait to be told what to do. You anticipate needs, proactively flag risks and constructively challenge the status quo when it adds value. You thrive in a fast-paced, founder-led environment where ambiguity is the norm and ownership is expected.
- Languages: You are fluent in English. German is a strong advantage given the team and stakeholder environment.
