As an SAP Engineer, you will help shape, operate, and evolve the SAP landscape that powers Unite’s financial backbone. Your day-to-day work will focus on SAP ERP 6.0 (ECC, EHP8) and integrations via SAP Integration Suite, while also supporting our preparations for the upcoming S/4HANA Public Cloud transformation - through development, process optimisation, and system stability. Your main focus will be on improving and supporting our financial processes in SAP, ensuring stability, quality, and smooth collaboration with our Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
If you enjoy combining hands-on problem-solving with long-term platform evolution, we’d love to hear from you!

Your role

  • Keep the financial core running smoothly: You’ll maintain, develop, and enhance our SAP ECC environment and integrations, with a strong focus on Finance processes.
  • Shape what’s next: You’ll support and contribute to our transition path toward S/4HANA Public Cloud, helping us prepare through development, optimisation, and technical readiness.
  • Turn gaps into better workflows: You’ll analyse process gaps, design improvements, and help implement new financial workflows or configurations.
  • Partner where it matters most: You’ll collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective SAP solutions.
  • Deliver quality with confidence: You’ll create and maintain documentation, run tests, support rollouts, and help keep the SAP landscape stable, compliant, and future-ready.

Your qualifications

  • Finance-process expertise: You bring hands-on experience in SAP ECC Finance, ideally including FI/CO, and you enjoy working closely with finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on problem solving: You configure, troubleshoot, and pragmatically improve SAP functionality.
  • Clear cross-functional communicator: You communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical colleagues and work comfortably in cross-functional set-ups.
  • Curiosity with initiative: You take ownership, learn fast, and bring a supportive, helpful mindset to the team.
  • Bilingual collaboration skills: You communicate fluently in German and English.

What you can expect from us

  • Be a part of our agile working style: Our open communication and quick decision-making processes allow our teams to work autonomously for the most part.
  • We offer a flexible work location: You can work in one of our modern Unite offices or remotely – or even do a mix of both.
  • Workation: You can work abroad for up to 2 months, which is a great way to extend your time away or visit your family and friends in other countries.
  • Enjoy our Unite culture: We invite you to be yourself, join our table tennis league or online games and have fun.
  • We think long-term: You can and absolutely should invest an average of 10% of your working time into self-education and your own further training – that’s why we are great believers in offering creative freedom. You’ll also get access to our internal learning platform to grow your career.
  • Build with a rich and evolving technology ecosystem: AWS, Spring Boot, Kafka, Terraform or Wicket are just a few to mention. Also, we have a fully integrated CI/CD pipeline in GitLab.
