Unite achieves EcoVadis Gold rating

Unite has received its first gold rating from EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of sustainability ratings, in recognition of its sustainability efforts.

Nora Reumschüssel, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Unite

It places Unite among the top 5% of companies evaluated during the July 2024 assessment period and within the top 3% in its industry. As an e-procurement solution with an integrated marketplace, Unite offers efficient procurement for businesses and the public sector. The platform promotes fair competition, fosters trusting partnerships, and helps companies achieve long-term sustainability goals.

Gold rating as a significant milestone

EcoVadis evaluates international sustainability criteria across four key categories: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Unite improved its score by 21 points compared to 2023, marking a significant advancement. "We’re pleased to have continuously improved our overall score over the years," says Nora Reumschüssel, Corporate Sustainability Manager at Unite. "The gold rating is an important milestone in our sustainability strategy and confirms that we are on the right path towards more sustainable business practices."

EcoVadis rating is a key criterion for procurement departments

Sustainability at Unite is driven by intrinsic motivation and is deeply embedded in the company's business model. Employees and management at Unite work together on this issue. "Through our efforts, we’ve provided our customers, suppliers, partners, and employees with concrete guidelines for action," adds Nora Reumschüssel. Today, the EcoVadis rating is an important criterion for many procurement departments when they aim to make their sourcing more sustainable based on objective and impartial standards.

UN Global Compact and Science Based Targets Initiative

Unite aligns its corporate strategy with globally recognised sustainability measures. The company has joined the United Nations Global Compact and supports the Science Based Targets initiative to achieve scientifically based climate goals. Additionally, new compliance guidelines and a whistleblower system have been implemented to ensure certain ethical standards.

Transparent sustainability performance worldwide

EcoVadis has become one of the world's largest providers of sustainability ratings. The internationally operating platform evaluates over 130,000 companies across more than 220 industries and 180 countries based on 21 sustainability criteria.
