Hi, I'm Martin, CIO at Unite, and I'm looking for a Chapter Lead (m/f/d) for our Software Engineering team in the Post Sales domain. If you are interested in becoming part of an IT management team that takes on all the challenges of a growing and international IT department, then we are looking for you!


Your role

  • Operational responsibility: You're part of IT management and, together with the management team, are responsible for the strategic and operational development of the entire Analytics & IT department
  • Encourage development: You'll lead a chapter of around 20 Software Engineers who work in development teams in the area of “Post Sales / Fulfillment”
  • Team leadership: You're responsible for recruiting and supporting your chapter, ensuring the further development of your employees, continuously promoting their skills and supporting them with their challenges in a software stack that has grown over the years
  • Team optimization: Together with product owners and agile coaches, you ensure that skills and resources are optimally positioned in the teams
  • Domain-specific expertise: You support your engineers and technical management in identifying and tackling technical challenges in your domain
  • Promoting collaboration: You foster and promote collaboration and communication between the IT teams in and outside the “Post Sales” domain and between IT and other departments
  • Practicing teamwork: You support the development and maintenance of a positive team culture and promote the exchange of knowledge within the IT department and beyond

Your qualifications

  • Agile mindset: You're a team player, you make decisions based on partnership and you live the agile values
  • Leadership: You cultivate a cooperative and empathetic leadership style and have experience in leading software engineers
  • Profound expertise: You've experience in the conception, implementation and management of large-scale backend development projects, preferably in the e-commerce or e-procurement sector
  • Technical affinity: You've a good understanding of software architecture, with expertise in Java or JVM-based technology stacks, including Hibernate and Spring Framework
  • Be on the Pulse: You're comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
  • Communicate confidently: You can communicate the vision and strategy of the company and implement it together with your team
  • International mindset: You're fluent in English and German, think internationally and feel comfortable in a multicultural environment
