Christel Constant joins Unite
In her new position, Christel Constant is responsible for international business development, customer success and the go-to-market strategy of Unite.
“We’re excited to welcome Christel as Unite’s new Executive Board member. She is an experienced and successful sales leader and digital transformation strategist. Her diverse expertise and insights are perfectly aligned with Unite’s vision for the future. We’re looking forward to her leadership as we grow and pursue our mission to connect the economy for sustainable business,” said Dr Sebastian Wieser, Founder and CEO, Unite.
Before joining Unite, Christel spent more than 20 years in business development, sales, marketing and customer care leadership roles where she led growth acceleration and digital transformation strategies in multinational teams. Her experience includes 15 years at the B2B Financial Services Platform, Edenred SA, across diverse countries. She contributed to hyper-growth as Director Sales and Customer Experience, notably in the German market. More recently, she was Vice President Sales (EMEA) at the digital workplace platform, Beekeeper AG. Christel holds a major in finance from the HEC Paris Business School, France, and a master’s degree in International Marketing from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.
I’m excited to join Unite at such an important time of strategic invention and international growth and look forward to contributing to our successful business development based on Unite’s strong ecosystem and network. It is a privilege to work with such an experienced team and I thank the Executive Board and all Unitees for their warm welcome.
Board member Dr Bernd Schönwälder takes on new responsibilities
With Christel Constant’s addition to the Unite Executive Board, former sales and marketing board member Dr Bernd Schönwälder assumes responsibility for platform, IT and operations, which was previously held by founder Dr Sebastian Wieser.
“Under Bernd’s leadership, we’ve celebrated many milestones on the sales side. His expertise in platform strategy, architecture, and information technology is hard to match in the business. As Bernd seamlessly takes over these responsibilities from me, I get to delve deeper into my role as the CEO of Unite,” explained Sebastian.
These are tough times for B2B markets with much structural change for all players: exploding volatility, inflation, pressing sustainability goals. All this confirms Unite’s positioning and adds pressure to deliver value and innovation quickly. While my role change feels like just the right thing at the right time, my fascination for the Unite team is the same as it was a decade ago – we're backed by years of experience and growth, and there are no limits ahead.
