We endeavour to make sure the Mercateo Procurement Portal (“website”) is accessible to all. While absolute accessibility is not practically possible, we are committed to providing access to the essential functionality of the website and to continuous development of our online service.
The start page, categories, product pages (search results), individual product pages and the shopping cart have been designed and tested against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.0 to an ‘AA’ standard, although there may be areas in which we can continue to improve in the future in particular regarding language details, page structure, keyboard operation and form labelling. Overall, there are no barriers that fundamentally preclude access for people with disabilities. In particular:
Text size – users can manually increase the size of the text using their computer’s zoom feature.
Screen colours and contrast – users can manually adjust contrast levels using their computer’s accessibility preferences.
Screen readers – users can utilise screen readers across the website, but alternative text for graphics and images are not always available.
